The Fair Lunch Diner

I went to this great diner today. I stood in line to be seated and as I got to the front I found we paid for our lunch up front. I asked, “How this possible?” They told me they took the average price of every item on the menu and charged everyone the same price. Great! I could have steak for a low price. I will eat here more often.

The next day I went to lunch but the price was higher. I asked, “Why?” They said too many people were ordering the expensive meals. As I was eating my steak I heard the two men in the booth next to me who were dressed in real expensive suits. They were complaining about having to pay double what everyone else was paying. I wondered why that was. As I was leaving the diner I saw a poorly dressed man come in the diner. The host gave him money for his dinner. Now I was really confused. I went to the host and asked, “How does that work?” He said when the guy leaves he will have to give the money back to pay for his meal. So in another words he gets his meal for free. This place is getting strange.

The next time I went to the diner the price was even more. I almost left but I knew how good the steak was. After I paid and was seated I found out they were out of steak, they were out of chicken, and they were out of fish. I asked what they did have. They had breads, pastas, and salads. That is a lot of money for those things but they told me there are no refunds. I had a pasta salad.

There was no way I was going back to the diner. I had enough. The next day as I drove past the diner to another restaurant I saw that it was closed and a “FOR SALE” sign was in the window. What happened? I asked around and found the owner forgot about the fair VALUE of things in effort for being FAIR to all people regardless of there ability to pay. How could the owner be so dumb?

I did some more digging and found that all the former employees were looking for jobs. The costumers who didn't have to pay had quit there jobs thinking there was always going to be food for them and were now starving. The costumers who could pay were missing the good food but were finding other places to eat because they had jobs and the ability to buy lunch.

What became of the Owner? It turned out he pocketed all the money and skipped town. He said at the beginning he wanted to provide a fair meal for all and help the little guy. The truth was he was only in it for the money. Now he is rich and rests of us don’t have the great diner anymore. Good job Obama (owner).

Now does this help you understand the liberal (socialist) approach to government? Our diner (U.S.A.) is the best in the world. Keep the prices fair based on value and ability to pay. Teach those who can’t pay how to work and develop the ability to pay. These are conservative values and key to the success of our nation.
